Donating to the ReStore

The ReStore thrives on donations received from businesses, contractors and individuals. Your donation is vital to the operation and survival of the ReStore and Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity. There are several steps during the donation process. We have provided a guide below. Please follow the steps outlined and we will be happy to assist. You can find a general list of items we do and do not accept by clicking on the links below the steps or in the left menu.

When you have good, reusable or new materials, give us a call at (717) 293-0250. You will be asked for a description of the materials as well as your contact information. We prefer that donors include delivery of the materials to the store as part of their donation, so please indicate if you are able to deliver your donation to the Habitat ReStore when you call.

Step 2

We will determine if the donation is something we can take. The final decision is always made at the time of pick up or donation.

Step 3

If the donation is something we can accept, you may bring it to the store during business hours or we can schedule a pick-up. We accept donations up until 30 min. before we close each day. If you need a pick-up we will schedule that over the phone for the next available time. The pick-up process is listed below.

* Have all materials available on ground level (i.e. garage or driveway)
* Please mark all items "Habitat ReStore"
* Absolutely no hazardous materials
* We are unable to haul away trash

Step 4

Thank you for your donation. If you are dropping off items, you can pick up a receipt for tax deductions at our front desk. If we have picked up your items you will receive a letter in the mail with a list of the items you donated.
